The Maputo Art Fair opens its first edition from March 15 to 17, 2024. This event marks a significant milestone as the first contemporary art fair in Mozambique. The premiere of this edition brings together an eclectic group of renowned exhibitors, including prominent galleries from neighboring South Africa, who are mainly dedicated to exhibiting contemporary art.
The Fair provides a unique experience in the vibrant city of Maputo. It presents itself as an essential platform for collectors, galleries, curators, artists and art journalists from all over the world to establish valuable connections. The 2024 edition of Maputo Art Fair includes 1 main sector entitled TUMBULUKU, and 2 curated sections, SOLO and WAHENI.

The Maputo Art Fair is now accepting applications for the Main Section, TUMBULUKU (deadline: December 15); and for the two curated sections SOLO and WAHENI (deadline: November 28).
